How XP Is Earned
Experience points (XP) on Ilm Al Lughah are awarded for completing various learning activities: finishing lessons, passing quizzes, reviewing flashcards, and maintaining daily streaks. XP is calculated and awarded automatically when you complete an activity. The amount of XP varies depending on the difficulty and length of the activity — harder quizzes and longer lessons earn more XP.
Common Reasons XP Isn't Counting
If your XP isn't increasing after completing an activity, check the following: 1) Make sure you're logged in — activities completed while signed out won't earn XP. 2) Ensure you completed the activity fully — partially completed lessons or abandoned quizzes don't award XP. 3) Check your internet connection — XP is saved to the server, so a connection drop can prevent it from being recorded. 4) Try refreshing the page — sometimes there's a slight delay in the XP counter updating on the dashboard.
XP Display Delays
In some cases, there may be a short delay between completing an activity and seeing the XP reflected on your dashboard. This delay is usually less than a minute and is caused by server processing time. If you've just completed a lesson and your XP hasn't updated, wait a moment and refresh the page. Your XP should appear shortly. If it doesn't appear after several minutes, the activity may not have been recorded properly.
Reporting XP Issues
If you consistently find that XP isn't being counted despite completing activities while logged in with a stable connection, please contact our support team. Include the specific activities you completed, the approximate time you completed them, and screenshots of your XP dashboard before and after the activity. This information will help us investigate whether there's a bug in the XP system that needs to be addressed.
