How Badges Are Earned
Badges on Ilm Al Lughah are awarded for reaching specific milestones in your learning journey. These include completing courses, achieving XP thresholds, maintaining streaks, acing quizzes, and mastering flashcard decks. Each badge has specific unlock criteria that you can view in the Badges section of your profile. Badges are awarded automatically when you meet the criteria — no manual claiming is needed.
Why Your Badge Might Not Have Unlocked
If you believe you've met the criteria for a badge but it hasn't appeared, consider the following: 1) Double-check the exact requirements — some badges require completing all lessons in a course, not just most of them. 2) There may be a processing delay — try refreshing the page or logging out and back in. 3) Ensure you were logged in when completing the qualifying activity. 4) The badge criteria might include conditions you haven't noticed, like scoring above a certain percentage on a quiz.
Badge Progress Tracking
You can track your progress toward unlocking badges by visiting the Achievements page in your profile. Each badge shows a progress indicator — for example, "Complete 5/10 lessons" or "Earn 500/1000 XP." If the progress bar shows you haven't fully met the criteria, continue your studies and the badge will unlock once you reach the goal. Some badges are hidden until you get close to earning them, adding a fun element of discovery.
Reporting Badge Issues
If the progress indicator shows 100% but the badge still hasn't unlocked, or if you're confident you've met the criteria, please report this issue to our support team. Include which badge you expected to earn, the activity you completed to qualify, and a screenshot of your achievements page. We'll check the server logs to verify your progress and unlock the badge if it was missed due to a system error.
