Where Is the Sidebar?
The Ilm Al Lughah sidebar provides easy navigation between your courses, lessons, dashboard, flashcards, and settings. If the sidebar isn't visible, it may be collapsed, hidden on mobile view, or not rendering due to a display issue. The fix depends on your screen size and current view mode.
On Desktop & Laptop
On larger screens, the sidebar should be visible on the left side of the page. If it's not showing, look for a hamburger menu icon (☰) or a small arrow at the edge of the screen — clicking this toggles the sidebar open. If no toggle is visible, try pressing Ctrl + Shift + R for a hard refresh. You can also check your browser zoom level — if you're zoomed in too much, the browser may be treating your screen as a smaller size and hiding the sidebar.
On Mobile & Tablet
On mobile devices and tablets, the sidebar is hidden by default to maximize screen space for content. To access navigation on mobile, tap the menu icon (☰) in the top-left corner of the screen. The sidebar will slide in as an overlay. Tap any navigation item to go to that page, or tap outside the sidebar to close it. This is the expected behavior on smaller screens — the sidebar isn't missing, it's just tucked away.
Persistent Sidebar Issues
If the sidebar toggle or menu icon isn't visible at all, the issue is likely a rendering problem. Try these steps: 1) Clear your browser cache and reload. 2) Reset your browser zoom to 100% (Ctrl + 0). 3) Disable browser extensions temporarily. 4) Try a different browser. If the sidebar still doesn't appear after all these steps, please report the issue to our team with your browser version and a screenshot of what you see.
