Types of Notifications
Ilm Al Lughah sends notifications to keep you engaged and informed about your learning journey. These include streak reminders to maintain your daily study habit, new content alerts when new lessons or courses are added, achievement notifications when you earn badges or XP milestones, and platform update announcements. Notifications may appear as in-app banners, email notifications, or browser push notifications.
In-App Notifications
In-app notifications appear within the platform interface — look for the bell icon in the navigation bar. If you don't see any notifications, make sure you haven't muted or dismissed them all. Check your notification settings in your profile to ensure in-app notifications are enabled for the categories you're interested in. If notifications aren't appearing despite being enabled, try clearing your cache and refreshing the page.
Email Notifications
If you're not receiving email notifications, first check your spam or junk folder — our emails sometimes get filtered. Add noreply@ilmallughah.com to your email contacts or whitelist to prevent this. Also, verify that your notification preferences in your account settings have email notifications turned on. If you use Gmail, check the Promotions tab, as some email notifications may be sorted there automatically.
Browser Push Notifications
Browser push notifications require your explicit permission. If you previously denied notification permission when prompted, you'll need to re-enable it. In Chrome, click the lock icon next to the URL, find "Notifications," and change it to "Allow." In Firefox, click the lock icon and manage permissions. On mobile browsers, you may need to enable notifications in your device's settings for the specific browser app. Once enabled, you should start receiving push notifications for streak reminders and important updates.
