Account Locked or Suspended

What to do if your account has been locked or suspended.

Why Accounts Get Locked

Account locking or suspension on Ilm Al Lughah is rare and only occurs in specific circumstances. Your account may be locked if: there were multiple failed login attempts (as a security precaution), suspicious activity was detected on your account, you violated our community guidelines, or there was a system error that incorrectly flagged your account. We take account security seriously and err on the side of caution to protect our users.

If Your Account Is Locked Due to Login Attempts

If your account was locked after multiple failed login attempts, this is a temporary security measure. Wait 15-30 minutes and try logging in again. Make sure you're using the correct Google account — if you have multiple Google accounts, you might be trying to log in with the wrong one. After the cooldown period, the lock is automatically lifted and you should be able to sign in normally. Your progress and data are safe during this time.

If Your Account Is Suspended

Account suspension is a more serious action taken when our community guidelines or terms of service have been violated. If your account has been suspended, you would have received an email notification explaining the reason. Common reasons include sharing inappropriate content in community forums, attempting to exploit the platform, or engaging in behavior that negatively affects other learners. If you believe the suspension was made in error, you can appeal by contacting us.

How to Appeal or Get Help
