Reporting a Bug

Found a bug? Learn how to report it effectively so we can fix it quickly.

Help Us Improve the Platform

Bugs are an inevitable part of any software platform, and your reports help us make Ilm Al Lughah better for everyone. Whether you've found a broken feature, incorrect quiz answers, a visual glitch, or unexpected behavior, we want to know about it. Every bug report is reviewed by our development team, and we prioritize fixes based on how many learners are affected and the severity of the issue.

How to Report a Bug

You can report bugs by emailing bugs@ilmallughah.com or by using the "Report a Bug" option in the Help section of the platform. When reporting, please provide: 1) A short, descriptive title (e.g., "Quiz timer counts down but doesn't auto-submit"), 2) Steps to reproduce the bug, 3) What you expected to happen vs. what actually happened, 4) Your browser, device, and OS information, and 5) Screenshots or screen recordings if possible.

What Makes a Good Bug Report

The best bug reports are specific and reproducible. Instead of saying "the quiz is broken," try something like: "On the Sarf Basics quiz, question 3, selecting option B and clicking Submit causes the page to freeze in Chrome 120 on Windows 11." This level of detail helps our developers pinpoint the exact issue quickly. If you can reproduce the bug consistently, mention the exact steps. If it happens intermittently, let us know that too.

After You Report

After submitting a bug report, you'll receive a confirmation email acknowledging your submission. Our team will investigate and may reach out for additional information. Once the bug is fixed, we'll notify you if you've opted in to update notifications. We genuinely appreciate every bug report — it's our community's feedback that helps keep Ilm Al Lughah running smoothly and improving over time.
