Making Learning Fun
We believe that effective learning should also be enjoyable and motivating. Our gamification system is designed to keep you engaged, celebrate your progress, and add an element of fun to your Arabic studies. This month, we're introducing several new gamification features that our community has been asking for. These additions build on our existing XP, streak, and badge systems to create an even more rewarding learning experience.
New Badge Categories
We've added 20 new badges across several categories: Consistency badges — earned for maintaining streaks of 7, 30, 60, 90, and 365 days. Mastery badges — awarded when you achieve 100% accuracy on all quizzes in a course. Explorer badges — unlocked for trying different features like flashcards, forums, and study buddy sessions. Community badges — earned by contributing to forums, helping other learners, and participating in community events. Secret badges — hidden achievements that reward unexpected behaviors, adding an element of surprise and discovery.
Weekly Challenges
Introducing Weekly Challenges — special learning goals that change every week and offer bonus XP upon completion. Examples include: "Complete 5 Sarf lessons this week," "Review 100 flashcards," "Achieve 90%+ on 3 quizzes," or "Maintain your streak for 7 consecutive days." Challenges are designed to encourage balanced study across different activities and push you slightly beyond your comfort zone. Each completed challenge awards bonus XP and contributes to a special Challenge Champion badge.
XP Levels & Titles
Your accumulated XP now translates into a level system with Arabic-themed titles. As you earn XP, you'll progress through titles such as: طالب (Taalib - Student), مجتهد (Mujtahid - Hard Worker), باحث (Baahith - Researcher), عالم (Aalim - Scholar), and more. Each level unlock is celebrated with an animation and a congratulatory message. Your current title is displayed on your profile and in the community forums, giving you visible recognition for your dedication. This system gives long-term goals to work toward beyond individual lessons and courses.
