Why Is JavaScript Required?
Ilm Al Lughah is built as a modern web application that relies heavily on JavaScript for its interactive features. Without JavaScript enabled, you won't be able to take quizzes, use flashcards, track your progress, or interact with most of the learning content. JavaScript is what powers the dynamic, responsive experience that makes learning Arabic engaging and effective on our platform.
Enabling JavaScript in Chrome
In Google Chrome, click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner and go to Settings → Privacy and Security → Site Settings → JavaScript. Make sure the toggle is set to "Sites can use JavaScript." If you've previously blocked JavaScript for specific sites, check the "Block" list and remove Ilm Al Lughah from it. After enabling JavaScript, refresh the page to apply the changes.
Enabling JavaScript in Other Browsers
In Firefox, type about:config in the address bar, search for javascript.enabled, and ensure it is set to true. In Safari, go to Preferences → Security and check the box next to "Enable JavaScript." In Microsoft Edge, JavaScript is enabled by default and cannot be easily disabled, so if you're using Edge, JavaScript should already be active.
Browser Extensions That Block JavaScript
Some browser extensions — particularly ad blockers, privacy tools, and script blockers like NoScript or uBlock Origin — may prevent JavaScript from running on our platform. If you have JavaScript enabled but are still experiencing issues, try disabling your extensions one by one to identify the culprit. You can also add Ilm Al Lughah to your extension's whitelist or trusted sites list to allow scripts to run without disabling the extension entirely.
