A Safe Learning Environment
Ilm Al Lughah is designed to be a safe, educational platform suitable for learners of all ages, including children. Our content is focused exclusively on Arabic language education and Islamic studies, and all materials are reviewed for age-appropriateness. We do not feature user-generated content in lesson areas, advertising, in-app purchases, or any content that would be inappropriate for young learners.
Children Under 13 (COPPA Compliance)
For children under 13, we follow the guidelines of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Since our platform uses Google authentication, children under 13 must use a Google account managed by a parent or guardian (through Google Family Link). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. If we discover that a child under 13 has created an account without parental consent, we will take steps to delete the account and associated data.
Parental Involvement
We encourage parents and guardians to be actively involved in their children's learning journey on Ilm Al Lughah. Parents can: monitor their child's progress by logging into the child's account, review completed lessons and quiz scores on the dashboard, set study goals together, and use the streak system as a motivational tool. The platform's gamification features (XP, badges, streaks) are designed to make learning fun and motivating for younger learners.
Reporting Concerns
If you have any concerns about child safety on our platform, please contact us immediately at safety@ilmallughah.com. We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. Our community forums (when available) are moderated, and any content or behavior that could compromise child safety is swiftly addressed. We're committed to maintaining a safe, supportive environment where learners of all ages can study Arabic with confidence.
