Setting the correct timezone and language preferences ensures that your learning experience is properly localized. Your timezone affects streak calculations, reminder timings, and the display of activity timestamps throughout the platform.
Setting Your Timezone
- Navigate to Settings > Preferences > Timezone.
- By default, your timezone is auto-detected from your browser. You can override this by selecting your timezone manually from the dropdown menu.
- Click "Save" to apply the changes.
Why Timezone Matters
Your daily streak resets at midnight in your configured timezone. If your timezone is set incorrectly, you might lose your streak even though you completed a lesson within your actual day. Double-check this setting if you notice unexpected streak resets.
Interface Language
The Ilm Al Lughah interface is currently available in English as the primary language for instructions, navigation, and help content. Arabic is used within lesson content, exercises, and flashcards as the language being taught. We are working on adding additional interface language options in the future.
If you have a preference for right-to-left (RTL) layout for the entire interface, this can be enabled from Settings > Preferences > Layout Direction. This is particularly useful for native Arabic speakers who are more comfortable with an RTL interface.
