Your profile on Ilm Al Lughah represents your identity within the learning community. Keeping it up to date helps personalize your experience and allows other learners to connect with you if you choose to make your profile visible.
What You Can Update
- Display Name: The name shown on your profile, leaderboards, and any community features.
- Bio: A short description about yourself and your Arabic learning goals (optional).
- Avatar: Your profile picture, which defaults to your Google profile image. You can upload a custom image if you prefer.
- Learning Level: Indicate whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced learner to help tailor recommendations.
How to Update
Navigate to Profile Settings by clicking your avatar in the top-right corner and selecting "Edit Profile" from the dropdown menu. Alternatively, you can access it from the sidebar under Settings > Profile. Make your changes and click "Save Changes" to apply them.
Changes to your display name and avatar are reflected immediately across the platform. Note that your email address cannot be changed from the profile page since it is linked to your Google authentication. If you need to use a different email, you will need to sign in with a different Google account.
