Study Plan for Complete Beginners

A structured study plan for learners who are just starting their Arabic journey on Ilm Al Lughah.

Starting your Arabic learning journey can feel overwhelming, but with the right study plan, you'll build a solid foundation step by step. This plan is designed for complete beginners who are new to Arabic grammar and the Ilm Al Lughah platform.

Week 1-2: Orientation & Basics. Begin with the "Simple Arabic" course to familiarize yourself with the Arabic alphabet, basic sounds, and fundamental vocabulary. Aim for one lesson per day and spend 10 minutes reviewing the automatically generated flashcards. Set your daily XP goal to "Casual" (20 XP) to build the habit without pressure.

Week 3-4: Introduction to Grammar. Start the Sarf (Morphology) Foundations course alongside your Simple Arabic studies. Sarf teaches you how Arabic words are formed from root letters — a crucial skill for understanding any Arabic text. Continue with daily flashcard reviews and consider increasing your XP goal to "Regular" (50 XP).

Week 5-8: Building Momentum. Introduce the Nahw (Syntax) Basics course. Now you're studying three subjects in parallel, which might sound like a lot, but the courses are designed to complement each other. Rotate between them: one Sarf lesson one day, one Nahw lesson the next, with Simple Arabic as a lighter option when you need a break.

Ongoing: Consistency is Key. By the end of your second month, aim to have a daily routine of 20-30 minutes that includes one lesson and a flashcard review session. Don't worry about speed — focus on understanding each concept before moving to the next. Your streak counter and XP progress will keep you motivated as you build this life-changing habit.
