May 2026 Updates
May was a productive month for Ilm Al Lughah! We shipped several features that our community has been requesting, including major improvements to our course content, a redesigned dashboard, and new social features. Here's everything that changed last month.
Redesigned Dashboard
We completely redesigned the learner dashboard to give you a clearer, more motivating view of your progress. The new dashboard features: a visual progress map showing your journey through each course, daily goals with progress rings, an XP graph showing your earning trends over time, and quick-access cards for your most recently accessed lessons, due flashcard reviews, and recommended activities. The new design is also more responsive and looks great on mobile devices.
New Course Content
We expanded our course library with significant new content: 10 new Sarf lessons covering advanced verb patterns (forms VII-X) with detailed explanations and exercises. 8 new Nahw lessons on complex sentence structures including conditional sentences and relative clauses. New Tajweed module covering rules of idgham, ikhfaa, and iqlab with audio demonstrations from qualified reciters. Each new lesson includes interactive exercises and quizzes to test your understanding.
Social & Community Features
May also saw the launch of new social features: Shareable achievement cards — beautiful, auto-generated images of your milestones that you can share on social media. Study buddy matching improvements — the algorithm now considers time zone and study schedule preferences for better matches. Community forum upgrades — including rich text editing with Arabic support, image attachments, and better search functionality. These features make learning more social and connected.
