Platform Performance Enhancements

Technical improvements that make Ilm Al Lughah faster and more reliable.

Speed & Reliability

We're committed to making Ilm Al Lughah as fast and reliable as possible. Over the past month, our engineering team has focused on performance optimization across the entire platform. These improvements may not be as visible as new features, but they fundamentally enhance your learning experience by making everything feel snappier, more responsive, and more reliable — especially on slower connections and older devices.

Page Load Improvements

We've achieved significant reductions in page load times: Initial page load is now 40% faster thanks to improved code splitting, which loads only the JavaScript needed for the current page. Subsequent navigation is 60% faster through aggressive prefetching of likely next pages. Image optimization — all images are now served in modern formats (WebP/AVIF) and lazy-loaded, reducing bandwidth usage. Font loading — Arabic fonts are now preloaded and cached more efficiently, eliminating the "flash of unstyled text" that some users experienced.

Server-Side Improvements

On the backend: Database query optimization — we've rewritten several frequently-used queries to be more efficient, reducing API response times by up to 50%. Caching layer — frequently accessed content (like course catalogs and lesson data) is now cached, reducing server load and improving response times. CDN optimization — static assets are now served from edge locations closer to users worldwide, reducing latency for learners in regions far from our primary servers.

What This Means for You

In practical terms, you should notice: faster page loads when navigating between lessons and courses, quicker quiz loading and submission, smoother flashcard animations, less buffering on audio and video content, and a generally more responsive feeling throughout the platform. These improvements benefit all users, but especially those on slower internet connections or older devices. If you were previously experiencing performance issues, we encourage you to try the platform again — you should notice a significant difference!
