We're thrilled to announce that the Ilm Al Lughah mobile app is currently in development and will be launching soon on both iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play Store)! This has been our most requested feature, and we've been working hard to bring you a mobile experience that's not just a responsive website in an app, but a truly native, optimized mobile learning experience.
What to Expect
The mobile app will include all the features you love from the web platform, plus mobile-exclusive capabilities: Offline mode — download lessons and flashcards for studying without an internet connection, perfect for commutes and travel. Push notifications — streak reminders, study nudges, and achievement alerts. Optimized touch interactions — swipe through flashcards, tap to answer quizzes, and navigate lessons with touch-friendly controls. Audio pronunciation practice — use your phone's microphone to practice Arabic pronunciation on the go.
Design Philosophy
We're designing the mobile app with a mobile-first mindset. The interface is optimized for one-handed use, with large, easy-to-tap buttons and clear Arabic text rendering on small screens. We've paid special attention to Arabic text readability on mobile, ensuring that diacritical marks and complex letter forms display beautifully on all screen sizes. The app will support both light and dark modes, and respect your device's system theme preference.
Be Among the First to Try It
We're planning a beta testing period before the full launch, and we'd love for our community to be among the first to try the app. To sign up for beta access: go to your Account Settings on the web platform and enable "Mobile App Beta" in notifications. When the beta is ready, you'll receive an email with download instructions.
