How the Weekly Sunnah Program Works

A detailed guide to the structure of our weekly Sunnah program and how to get the most out of it.

The Weekly Sunnah Program is the core structure of our Living the Sunnah course. Each week introduces a new Sunnah or set of related Sunnahs that you focus on learning and implementing throughout that week. The program runs for 52 weeks (one full year), and by the end, you will have developed a comprehensive set of prophetic habits covering all areas of daily life.

Each week's content includes: a lesson page with the relevant hadith (in Arabic, transliteration, and English), the context and significance of the Sunnah, practical tips for implementation, and any related du'as or adhkar. You also receive a daily checklist where you can mark off the Sunnah each time you practice it. The checklist resets each day, allowing you to build a daily habit over the course of the week.

The program is designed with progressive difficulty. The first few weeks cover simple, easily adoptable Sunnahs — like saying Bismillah before eating, eating with the right hand, and responding to the Adhaan. As the weeks progress, the Sunnahs become more involved, such as praying Qiyam al-Layl, fasting on Mondays and Thursdays, and implementing the Sunnah of giving sincere advice (Naseeha). This gradual progression helps you build habits without feeling overwhelmed.

You can start the program at any week — there is no requirement to begin from week one. If a particular Sunnah interests you, jump straight to that week. However, we recommend following the suggested order for the best learning experience, as earlier weeks lay the foundation for later topics. Your progress is saved automatically, and you can always go back to review previous weeks.
