Setting Learning Goals

How to set daily and weekly learning goals to stay consistent and motivated.

Setting clear learning goals is one of the most effective ways to stay consistent with your Arabic studies. Ilm Al Lughah allows you to set personalized goals that match your schedule and commitment level, helping you build a sustainable learning habit.

Types of Goals

  • Daily XP Goal: Choose a daily XP target that fits your schedule. Options range from Casual (10 XP/day) to Intense (50 XP/day). You can adjust this at any time.
  • Lessons Per Week: Set a target number of lessons to complete each week. This helps you maintain a steady pace through your courses.
  • Streak Goals: Challenge yourself to maintain a certain streak length, like 7 days, 30 days, or even 100 days.

How to Set Your Goals

Navigate to Settings > Learning Goals from the sidebar or your profile page. Select your preferred daily XP target and weekly lesson goal, then click "Save Goals." The platform will track your progress toward these goals and display a visual indicator on your dashboard.

You will receive gentle reminders if you are falling behind your goals, and celebratory notifications when you hit your targets. Remember, the best goal is one you can stick with consistently. It is better to set a modest goal and exceed it than to set an ambitious goal and burn out.

Pro tip: Start with the "Casual" setting for your first week to establish the habit, then gradually increase your goals as you get comfortable with the routine.
