Essential tools for any Arabic learner: Hans Wehr Dictionary Online — the gold standard Arabic-English dictionary, available in searchable online formats. Lane's Lexicon — an incredibly detailed classical Arabic dictionary, available free online at several Islamic studies websites. Aratools — an Arabic-English dictionary that also provides verb conjugation tables. Quran.com — includes word-by-word Arabic analysis of the Quran, perfect for Quranic Arabic study. Grammar & Morphology Resources
For deep dives into Sarf and Nahw: Arabic Grammar Online (arabicgrammar.org) — free, detailed explanations of Arabic grammar concepts. Arabic Almanac — a comprehensive tool that brings together multiple classical Arabic dictionaries and morphological analyzers. i'rab.net — practice Arabic sentence parsing (i'rab) with interactive exercises. For practice and immersion: Al Jazeera Learning Arabic — news articles in simplified Arabic with audio. Anki — a popular spaced repetition flashcard app where you can import community-created Arabic decks or export your Ilm Al Lughah flashcards for offline review. Arabic news apps — reading Arabic news is excellent practice once you've reached an intermediate level.
