Taking Your First Quiz

Everything you need to know about quizzes and assessments on the platform.

Quizzes and assessments are an essential part of the learning process on Ilm Al Lughah. They help you validate your understanding of the material and identify areas that may need additional review. Do not worry — quizzes are designed to be helpful learning tools, not stressful exams!

Types of Questions

  • Multiple Choice: Select the correct answer from several options. Great for testing vocabulary and conceptual understanding.
  • Fill in the Blank: Type in the missing word or form. Used heavily in Sarf to practice verb conjugation patterns.
  • Matching: Pair related items together, such as matching Arabic words with their meanings or root letters with derived forms.
  • True or False: Evaluate statements about grammatical rules and concepts.

Scoring and Retakes

Each quiz is scored immediately after submission. You will see a detailed breakdown of your answers, including which questions you got right, which you missed, and the correct answers with explanations. You need a minimum score of 70% to pass a module assessment and unlock the next module.

If you do not pass on your first attempt, do not worry. You can retake quizzes as many times as you need. We recommend reviewing the lesson material and your flashcards before trying again. Each attempt earns you XP, even if you do not pass, so your effort is always rewarded.

After passing a quiz, you will receive bonus XP and may unlock achievement badges for milestones like "First Quiz Passed" or "Perfect Score." Check your profile to see all available badges.
